I’m soo late with this Friday’s newsletter. I almost forgot to write one… lol.

It’s been quite hectic + today we hosted an ad hoc agency lunch.

20 agency founders showed up.

People loved it and asked for more events like this.

This wasn’t the plan.

Kristina (my partner) and I moved here a month ago. We didn't come to "build community" or run events. But when you put 20 founders in a room and they immediately ask for more, you're seeing latent demand for something that isn't being met.

Agency founders lunch

A few of them are running some of the fastest-growing and largest eCom agencies across the UK and the US.

The network that took me months and even years to build in the UK, happens in days and weeks in Dubai.

I’m not saying Dubai is better for everyone. But if you’re trying to build real relationships with founders who are actually playing at scale, the speed and quality of access here is hard to match.

Anyway… this Friday’s lesson isn’t about moving to ‘Doo-bye’.

You can create your own network “density”.

You don't need to move cities (... or maybe you do… you know better).

But what I’m sure of is that we need to stop spreading ourselves too thin across mediocre connections and start concentrating our time around people who are elevating us forward.

How much time are you spending with people who energise you vs. people who drain you? How many conversations are moving things forward vs. just filling time?

Exactly.

Build density where you are (or in Doo-bye haha).

Have a great weekend!
